Career Transition Support for Virgin Australia Staff

Recognising the valuable skills that mature aged workers bring to the Australian economy, Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers is a no-cost Australian Government funded program to support workers aged 45 – 70 to re-enter or remain in the workforce.

BUSY At Work is contracted to deliver the program throughout Australia, supporting workers with career mentoring and support.

We are dedicated to supporting Virgin Australia staff into new career pathways where your skills are highly sought after.

What you can expect from the program

When you register with Skills Checkpoint, you will receive (at no cost to you):

• A dedicated Careers Advisor to support your journey back into work. They will contact you to discuss your situation and guide you through the program.
• A careers assessment report that evaluates your skills, workplace preferences and career options. This is undertaken through Cognisess, a world-leading careers assessment program that The BUSY Group have the exclusive Australian license for.
• An assessment of all your valuable transferrable skills to provide you with new options for secure employment.
• Recommendations for any skills training courses to up-skill or re-skill you. Your Careers Advisor can also advise on any subsidised training packages that may be available.
• A professional standard resume that reflects what employers are looking for and the latest digital algorithms that Human Resource departments are now using. This will valuably assist you in the application process. This could normally cost you hundreds of dollars through an external consultant – you receive this at no cost through the program.
